Oxford is around 30 minutes by car to the north; the M4 is 15 minutes to the south; Heathrow is less than an hour away. Trains from Didcot Parkway (a 15-minute walk or a short bus journey from many business parks) reach Oxford in 20 minutes and London Paddington within 45 minutes. Science Vale sits within the UK’s science corridor. Birmingham is 85 minutes to the north, Southampton is 70 minutes to the south and Bristol is 80 minutes to the west. Proposed infrastructure improvements include upgrades to the railway stations at Didcot and Culham, junction improvements to the A34, as well as new roads, bridges and cycleways for easy commuting. Electrification of the Great Western railway line (expected 2019) will cut journey times to London to just 40 minutes. The planned Western Rail Link will also connect Didcot Parkway station directly to Heathrow in just over 40 minutes.
