In order to feasibly safeguarding the legitimate rights and interests of migrant workers and social stability, On Oct. 20th, 2017, He Fei, director of the city garments office and Gao Jian, director of Bureau of Human Affairs of the city led the inspection group on wage distribution situation of migrant workers, which consists of people from Bureau of Human Affairs, Commission of Economy and Information Technology, Bureau of Construction Management and various function sections of General Labor Union, to visit Gaoyou Economic Development Zone. The inspection group did a special investigation on the situation of salary arrears and the related contingency plans.

After listening to the report of the work before in the Zone, the inspection group visited many enterprises and construction sites, and did face-to-face talks with people in charge and worker representatives of the enterprises. The inspection group appreciated the work of the Zone before, on supervision of wage payment for migrant workers, and required the Zone to continuously strengthening supervision, and to actively prevent and effectively resolve group events caused by salary arrears.

Before, Gaoyou Economic Development Zone have made a special inspection of the enterprises in the Zone, especially in clothing enterprises, construction enterprises, and enterprises which recently fell into operation difficulties. The inspection has investigated more than 100 enterprises and more than 20 construction sites, basically mastered the salary payment dynamics of the enterprises, found out a number of enterprises with problems, and worked out special measures to solve the problems.
